Solving Problems in the Wool Handling Industry

Kerrick
PRESSURE WASHER BUILT TO CORRECT SPECS REDUCES THE CHANCES OF BREAKDOWNS, SAVING OUR CLIENT MONEY

AWH Pty Ltd is an end-to-end service provider for approximately 2/3rd's of Australia’s annual wool clip. For many years AWH had been serviced by one of Kerrick’s competitors but were encountering problems with the frequency of their pressure washers being out of service.

Kerrick identified the cause for the problem being that their machines were running in excess of their design capability and simply couldn’t cope with the amount of use and abuse required.

The WA Area Manager who identified the problem, suggested AWH move towards equipment that is capable of meeting more than their current needs i.e. pressure washers that would perform long term at about 70% of their capacity. Having extra capacity will reduce the frequency of breakdown and repair costs.

Kerrick design built a diesel high pressure washer that operates at 4000 psi and has a Kohler motor wound down to 3000 psi. The unit was also fitted with an electronic low water shut off, battery isolator and drip tray, which provide extra protection and will help increase the unit’s lifespan. AWH was suitably impressed with the equipment and the level of attention given to their needs and consequently purchased five high pressure washer units in total, as well as ongoing service agreements for their new and existing equipment.
